Why We Become Lazier In Winters?
Laziness ∝ Winter
Although not all of you but most of you become lazier in winters. Some of you might be thinking that I should not state only winters, as we are lazy throughout the year.
Okay, let's focus on our topic...
Why I wrote the heading as laziness is directly proportional to winter is because in winter our body needs to save energy to maintain body temperature warm. As a result, we feel listlessness.
As our body needs more energy in maintaining body temperature, we often feel cold because of a lack of energy utilization in plasma as it helps in maintaining body temperature.
Why We Wake Up Late And With Very Effort In Winter?
Usually, early in the morning during sunrise, light enters our room. When sunlight hits our skin directly or indirectly, our skin senses it and triggers our minds to wake up.
But in winters, we are fully covered with thick blankets and some of them are furry also. As a result, our skin did not receive any light and remained in dark and our mind though that it is still night outside and we have to sleep.
And the sun also is not at its full potential in winters.
And the second reason is, it is very cold outside and you want to be in your cozy, soft and warm blanket forever.
How To Stay Active In Winters?
Both physical and mental factors contribute in activeness as well as lazziness.
1. Exercise- Although exercise can be come in both physical and mental factors as you need a strong will & self motivation for exercise.
But exercise is one of the most important method, as it maintains your body in the right state in all seasons. 20 minutes exercise is a must for all people with all ages.
2. Stay Hydrated- Water plays a vital role in functioning of a body. As 70% of our body is related with water. And plasma which maintains body temperature and is the liquid portion of the blood onsist of 90-92% of water.
In order to proper functioning of plasma's temperature maintenance, in this bitter cold, water is must. A healthy person should drink at least 2-3 litres of water per day in order to stay healthy.
In winters, people usually forget to drink water, as evaporation through sweat is minimum in winters and our throat also become less thirsty.
3. Palm And Toe Rule- Our elders told us that if we are successful in protecting our palm and toe from old, we are well to do in winters. You also have noticed, if not, make sure you do that when you are exposed directly to environment without your furry blanket, your palms and toes are the coldest part feeled when touched.
If you protect them both, you will feel less cold on your remaining body. So, you should wear socks and gloves whenever possible, in order to feel less colder.
And it is the most easy method to stay away from cold and if you don't feel cold, you are active throughout the day.
But remember one thing, the more you stay away from cold by entering into your blanket, the more you feel it.
And maintain hygiene also in winter days, as many researches found that most of the people skip taking bath for longer periods in winter. But, trust me that technique will not help you in beating cold.
Try it yourself, bath one day and skip it one day and observe yourself that which is a day more colder.
That's all for this blog, meet you in some other till then, have a good day.
